Mobile Dinner shows

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for dinner shows? We have done hoop-de-doo twice and enjoyed it, but don’t feel the need to go again. I don’t fancy the Aloha one. We’re staying off site, so happy to go anywhere.

We’ll be a party of 6, my parents, my husband and son and daughter age 13 and 11. Would probably prefer something with a humorous touch. We’re celebrating my mum’s 60th and my husband’s 40th, so would love a special meal to remember!

They are the only two dinner shows onsite that I can think of. Raglan Road and Biergarten have some entertainment whilst not a dinner show as such. There could be offsite options.

Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show! It's comedy improv and it's brilliant. I think we've done it five times now and it's always good fun. You don't have to get involved, but there are a couple of opportunities to do so (they don't pull people in that don't show interest). Unless you are a big enough group to fill a table of 10 then you'll share with someone else, but we've been seated with great people every time. The food is decent, not spectacular, but the whole night is a win for us. Its free pour (unlimited) budweiser, wine and soft drinks too which helps to not make the night overly expensive, although there is a full bar where you can purchase other drinks like cocktails if you wanted to.
When you get there, the waiting area is like a tacky gift shop which we realised is part of the "set" and makes the scene a bit before it starts. Teenagers will enjoy it and it's certainly not too adult, although a few jokes may roll over their heads. You can get offers for their shows on their website, and they sometime show up on the USA Groupon site, and in the voucher books you can get in the hotels.

We did the pirate dinner show last year - got a really good deal on tickets form Groupon and it was a lot of fun. Don't go for the food though as it wasn't amazing. The entertainment was really good fun though and our children (7&9) loved it!
