We are due to fly virgin holidays 3rd Feb - 17th from Manchester, not quite sure what it means exactly (if anything) but I've just done a dummy booking for the same dates & flights from Man are showing Man-Paris CDG-Atl-Mco via other airlines (not direct as we booked) & not Virgin but if you change the date to 5th Feb, it is showing direct Virgin flights again. Probably not good.

We were due to fly out from Manchester with Virgin Atlantic in early Jan 21, as others have said the flights are still showing in the app but dummy bookings are via Atlanta.
As our cruise was pulled for the 2nd week, we are now rescheduling for Jan 22, just waiting for the travel agent to respond re hotel booking and park hopper tickets. As I paid extra for an Upper Class upgrade (Z class, no chauffeur) I'm playing a waiting game with Virgin to see if they cancel the flight as otherwise if I re-arrange it I'll lose the upgrade fee I paid. I saw a comment somewhere on the forum that if VA pull the flight they will do it anywhere from 5 weeks before to 7 days before. Can I take it right up to the wire to re-schedule (well, a few days before?). The VA terms seem a bit vague on notice. |

The Orlando airport website has updated to say that Virgin Atlantic will be resuming flights from the 5th Feb, so that’s the most confirmation we’ve had.

Just had an email update for my flight on Jan 2nd but all that has changed is the arrival time, thirty minutes later.

UPDATE: So we’ve been waiting for our Virgin flight from Man to Mco on 3 Feb to be cancelled. Still no flights showing on dummy booking for that date. Just phoned Virgin and it’s still not on their ‘cancelled ’ list. However we want to book for Oct instead and the upper class sale prices are great. So after the agent checked with ticketing, she has agreed to move our funds already paid for Feb to a flight for Oct. We had originally booked Premium for Feb and then upgraded to Upper. So we’ve had to pay out the difference between the Feb Premium price and the new October Upper price and she has processed a refund for us for the upper upgrade that we had paid. We’ll only be about £100 worse off altogether which we’re happy with. At least we know now how we stand because we were very apprehensive about going in Feb with the way COVID is out in the USA now.

Airlines have been submitting future planned flights to NATS and airports this week (which is why there have been so many cancellations today). VS are saying that they are not flying to MCO until March 18th.
