Parades 2021

Just watched a parade at disneyworld on YouTube with my 2 year old daughter and she was absolutely mesmerised. She loved it. We are due to go sept 2021 when shes 3 and after seeing her little face light up I really want parades to be happening again. What do you think the chances of them being back for then? Hoping theres a way they can bring them back safely.

I think good. I think at least capicity will increase some & they will have to bring out some form of parades, fireworks etc even if they will be in a different form. There are currently cavalcades at least though.

before Disney can even think about parades they will need to re-employ the 1000's of staff they've just let go but I'd be surprised if they aren't back before next summer in some form. TBH Keely I think some of the older parades are far better - look up Mickey Mania & Spectromagic was something to behold!

I think fireworks could still come back even if you have to wear masks in Disney. Even with a vaccine on the horizon, masks will still be required for the time being until the virus is pretty much erradicated. Looking at some of the footage at MK last night people were still crowding/not social distancing. People were looking at the castle projections. They might as well put some form of fireworks on as people will crowd at a cavalcade/projections/fireworks no matter what Disney put on.

I don't know if it happened but I know Shanghai were looking at re-introducing fireworks, until they can increase capacity I don't see them returning - not sure if I made this up but I have the figure of $50k/day on fireworks in my head. They are sort of between a rock though in as much as they don't want additional costs whilst restrictions are in place but guests will hold off until they get value for money.
At the minute we have no intention of spending £450 each for what's currently on offer, we have never not gone to Disney but we have our Universal Ap's currently frozen so could be a first time ...
