Returning from Manchester Airport by train

On Thursday 28th September we are landing at Manchester Airport with Thomas Cook at 7:25am, from here we are getting the train down to the Essex coast,

I am looking at trains leaving 8:41, 9:40 & 10:40, which train do people think I should book? unfortunately I can't get an open return as I'm coming from Scotland so which train do people think I should book?

I would probably go for the 9.40, as it would give me chance for something to eat after clearing customs

Id say either 9:40 or 10:40 to be on the safe side. Theres a coffee shop upstairs in the station called ritatza if you need some caffiene. The station is really easy to walk to from all terminals as its all linked by a walkway. Have a great time

9.40 ..what we done last year after getting off the plane was go to the raddison and have a long breakfast then 30 minutes before it was time went to the station...they kept our luggage in reception..people do this often from what they said

Are you travelling on Transpennine Express? If so then no need to 'be on the safe side' Terms and conditions from their website below.

Coming Home

We understand that sometimes flights back to sunny Manchester are delayed and you may be concerned about missing the train home you bought your ticket for, don't worry with an Airport Advance you can catch the next available Transpennine Express train up to 3 hours after the departure time stated on the ticket.*

Arriving at that time in the morning is usually very quick. I would allow an hour to an hour and a half, that should be plenty of time. If the flights delayed you can still get a later train as above
