Anchors Norway - Day 1, Travel to Dover

As we cruised the Caribbean in August 2015, we faced the end of the holiday without another one booked for the following year. This was somewhat unheard of for us, we usually like to have 2 booked at any given time to look forward to, but at this time we had none.

We talked about booking another cruise onboard to take advantage of the discount, and so with our usual month of August out of the question because of our daughter Chloe’s wedding, we decided to book a 7 night Norway cruise from Dover for 29 May 2016.

So the trip was booked and here is who's going:-

Saturday 28th May arrived and we left home at 9.45 stopping for lunch at Cherwell Valley services on M40. We had a few hold ups on M25, and finally arrived at Premier Inn Dover at 3.50.

We had tea in the Beefeater and when we came out I fell down a step through looking at my phone while walking, much to the amusement of Tracey and Megan.

We drove into Dover to find the car park for next day, but after following the SatNav ended up top of a hill at a dead end. We came back down hill and saw the car park. We made our way back to the hotel and watched BGT final. The air con in the room was not working, and we had a fan which was a bit noisy so we had restless night .

We were on this cruise too. My daughter is in a Minnie mouse costume in the background of the photo of Megan in animators palate!
