Florida in Europe? Disney (Cruise) and Theme Parks - Day 4 - Port Aventura

Thursday 20 August – Port Aventura

Breakfast reservation at 9.15am again, Harriet wasn’t hungry so just had 3 hash browns and chocolate milk, I had pancakes and fruit again and lots of the good coffee.
Attempted to get to the park for 10am to avoid the queues but the land trains were really busy, when we arrived we went to another water ride ‘Angkor’ which opened at 11am so we only queued for 20 minutes. Clever and fun ride where your boat has water guns which you aim at other boats and riders as you go around. Mexican ruins theming and the ride photo was turned into a cartoon.

We then decided to return to the hotel as even hotter today and all the queues were over an hour, Furios Baco the roller coaster was 3 ½ hours! This is one of the ones along with the wooden coaster Stampida that we had planned to do before Harriet’s accident so we will definitely be back one day.

Furios Baco

We had toasted sandwiches and I had Sangria in the hotel bar then went to the smaller pool, we swam and played for an hour then Harriet wanted to go to the other pool with the white sand to see if her friend from yesterday was there. I wrote my trip notes and chatted to Lexi’s mum and then went back to the hotel room to pack whilst Harriet got an ice cream.

Dinner booked for 7.30 at the ‘Iron Horse’ again back in the theme park.
We went back to the park about 6pm after I did some more packing (aka cramming everything into the suitcases and random bags). Park was busier than it had been at the beginning of the week, we went on the barrel ride which was a bit like a waltzer and then went to dinner.
I had a club sandwich and fries, Harriet had pork steak and mash and we shared an ice cream for pudding.
We walked around the park for the last time this holiday under Shambhala and Dragon Khan roller coasters. Good view of the coast and sea from the park. One more ride on Angkor water ride and then walked out of the park with a frozen yoghurt from the shop and in bed for 11pm, ready and excited to go to Barcelona in the morning.

Shambhala is the white coaster with Dragon Khan the red track.

Edited at 03:37 PM. Reason: correct from Day 5 to day 4!

Cool ride photo on Angkor - I avoided this one as everyone came off looking soaked!
