We're at Oak Island Cove this year, which I think is more or less in the same place. We've not been here before, but did stay at Indian Creek last year which was lovely. It's a brilliant location - close to all the parks and near the supermarkets.
It's very easy to find: orlando-maps.info/top_dow...ns_sub_div.htm A mile or so after you pass the Maingate West entrance to Disney (on the 192) you will see a very large purple wizard (gift shop) on the left. As soon as you see him move over to the left hand lane and take a left at the lights into Formosa Gardens Boulevard. You do actually get a sign before the turning which is very unusual. As you turn you pass World of Denim and the old Splendid China Dragon. Go up to the 4 way stop and turn right. Oak Island is a few hundred yards on the left. As to where your villa is in the community... |

Thanks for the driving tips Edie.
I hate the first day driving, your tired and its the wrong side of the road, plus when we land this time its going to be dark. I remember the purple wizzard and also remember being dragged around world of denim, cheers. Looks like we`ll be there around the same time as you, so if you hear unusually high pitched death defying screams comming from the any of the rides ... its me thanks again sean |

Oahk Island Harbor
Hi.
We stayed on Formosa Gardens Boulevard on Oak Island Harbor last week and itwas lovely! One of the nicest estates that we have stayed on. It's not spoilt by any previous hurricane damage either which quite a lot of other communities unfortunately were (heading east on the 192). We stayed i Tropical paradise and it was really easy to find. If you know where Splendid China is, then it is right behind there and it surrounds a lovely lake. Lucky old you! Enjoy yourself and say Hi to Mario for us! (He lives in the most spectacular house on the street and was really kind to us when Frances hit) Jan |
