Went to see the Dixie Stampede last night
and it was great fun. The kids (and adults!) really got into the swing of things when the M/C asked everyone to STAMPEDE! We had to make as much noise as possible and kick and stamp the tables, shout and scream for our team and boo the opposition
It costs $46.00 for adults and I think $22 or so for kids and includes the following meal - Cream of Veg Soup Biscuits Rotisserie Chicken Potato Wedge Corn on the Cob Sliced BBQ Pork Apple Turnover Unlimited Beer or Wine Soft Drinks (Iced Tea, Coke, Water) Coffee There is a pre-dinner show for an hour before with The Aussie Cowboy which includes audience participation and this is followed by the main show and dinner. All in all it's a 3 hour show but the kids didn't get bored at all. Would recommend to all Lisa |

Hiya Lin,
I know when it first opened they didn't serve booze but she must've caved in with all the pressure of us drinkers - LOL Lisa |

We went & it was a good night - pre show Aussie Cowboy was good as he rode his horse up & down flights of stairs! The main show itself was very good - even DW got into the swing of things by buying a cowgirl hat!

A great show - so good we watched it twice (one for North and one for South ironically!).
The atmosphere was great. When most of the audience is jumping up and down, you know they're enjoying themselves. The food was excellent (okay, I complained before I went in about the lack of choice but soon changed my mind after eating it). Just remember to wash your hands before going in The pre-show was great, with the horse going up and down the stairs, and bolting down the aisles - I hope it returns next year (I talked to Greg Anderson and he said he was returning to Australia in November with Starbuck ) Oh, and if anyone can explain how the magic trick worked, please tell. The only guess is that there were twins, but that still doesn't explain the barrels being empty |
