ds and the other half really want to do ksc, I know dd would not find it remotely intresting so we are having a 'girly' day while the 'men' go and look at the rockets

So much for freedom of speech eh Angellore? Glad you have told me that as my DH is convinced the moon landings didn't happen and would definately have to say something next year when we go (Like he did recently whilst standing nexy to some Americans in the Science museam in London) Saying that he likes to tell people he is protecting Britain from an alian invasion whilst at work (He's an airtraffic controller! )

We are thinking of doing this as a girl I work with says its brilliant watching a launch. How often do they have a launch and should I buy tickets before going or when we get there?.

We went to see a launch - got there really early 10am for a day there (8pm launch), after about 3 hours we'd done the tours etc. pretty much to death. So watched all the IMAX films (very impressive) etc. only for the launch to be cancelled. We drove but there was a coach load of Virgin Customers complaining cos the coach was not coming back until 10pm for them!
Our launch tickets were valid for launch when it went, happened to be the day we returned home! (never even saw on the TV or from the PLane). Personally I wouldn't go again, although the drive to/from the space centre is great to see the Gators at the side of the road (just don't get a flat tyre!) |

I had a great time on my last visit to KSC. Went on the historical tour, and was possibly mine and my dad's highlight of the holiday.
Amazing thing was driving around the centre and suddenly having to come to a stop due to an Amadillo slowly crossing the road, possibly one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Can't wait to go back there! |
