Disney Dream dining question

Anyone with experience of getting our own table at dinner? I called Disney and they have put in a request for 3 of us to have a 4 top to ourselves but they stressed it is request only.

I don't want to sound snobbish and unsociable, I'm really not. But I work long hours so our holiday is one of the only times each year DD(7) DW and I get to sit down and enjoy meals together. I don't then want to feel like I have to make niceties to random people on our table (as nice as they may be). Is there any other way of stressing my preference to Disney before I get to the restaurant?

Hello we made a request by phone and it was honoured to all three nights of the trip. I guess you could go to front desk and see if they have been able to do it for you when you first get on? There were lots of other families dining alone when we went x

They'll do their best to accommodate you.
If you are travelling Concierge level it's automatic.
Out of all the dining options we didn't enjoy Animator's Palate - nothing like the ones on Magic and Wonder - it was more like Turtle Talk with Crush and the food was at best average.

We're a couple and requested our own table- we had no issues at all. We've requested our own for this year too.

Thanks all!

I may be worrying for nothing, just think if I'm spending the best part of £2500 for a 3 night cruise I should be able to choose. Unfortunately can't stretch to concierge prices.

I will make a beeline for the dining desk when I get onboard.

You should be fine. I was told you have more of a chance during second seating though but we find the second seating more convienient anyway.

We requested it in November and got it. We are a 2 and we're on the second dining by choice. We have requested again for October.

Like others have said, DCL will do their best to accommodate your request.

On another note though, I'm surprised nobody has said that your daughter may not want to dine with you if she's enjoying the clubs. They are absolutely second to none for entertaining children and we struggle to get our wizards out for dinner (grandchildren).

We didnt realise that it was shared dining until we showed up to the table! The server made a big deal about us wanting our own table and said there was none but he would take us to the manager anyway. Manager had us sat down at a private table with an excellent view within 30 seconds and that was our table for every night !
