Thanks - will ask Deb at TOAD nearer the time.

I have just seen a video of the Animation Magic show - we absolutely have to do this! Not least because Fantasia is my favourite film. Incredible!

It's really quite amazing.
My top tips would be:
take some colouring pens with you (thick ones) as they only give you 1 colour normally.
They say don't go over the lines, but it's the outside lines they mean .. the ones that connect the arm to the body for instance are fine to go right over and will make your person look better when it comes to life.
Make sure the face is a full face (with outline for head), put some hair or a hat on it - the wackier the better.
Don't write anything on the shirt or add symbols (Mickey heads tend to be allowed).
Be on time and be quick. You only get a certain amount of time to finish your drawing so don't dilly dally.

Hope that helps!
Joa

Bumping up an old thread.

We have pretty much decided to stay on board on the Rome day so if we can get CLACLAC that means pirate night will be the show night at Animator's Palette.

Interested to hear from anyone who has eaten at AP on pirate night and had the animation show - how did it work?

Hi Gill
You wouldn't have Pirate Night on Animation Night as everyone has the same menu. Animation Night has a special menu so the two can't be mixed.
I would guess they'll put PN on a different night .. bring it forward. Looking at what I wrote back in January, I'm pretty sure that PN will be earlier for you.

Don't miss the drawing!

How odd. Pirate night is definitely day 6 (Thursday, Villefranche day). I know as someone in the FB group posted the schedule.

What happens if you are in AP on Pirate Night then? Somebody must be.

Edited at 03:33 PM.

Last year on the med cruise we didn't have a pirate menu on pirate night. Pirate night was Thursday/ Villafranche and we had the Captain's Gala menu that night. I thought this was an odd combination!

Formal night was the standard rotational menu - we chose that night for Palo.

Formal night often has a standard menu, but PN should always have pirate menu.
Gill - maybe they'll do your animation earlier then, it's not normal, but they won't let you miss it. They have a restricted menu on AN as they want you to order quickly so they only give you a few options.
