Flying on to a new place after Orlando
Does anyone have an words of wisdom on flying on to another destination straight from Orlando?
We will be spending a week in Orlando for our wedding next March and then flying somewhere for our honeymoon and wondered if anyone had done something similar? At the moment we are quite open to where, i'm still researching but haven't seen many people speak of doing this. Thanks all! |

We did a week in Orlando then flew on to the Bahamas.
We actually got married in Orlando with family out with us, so the Bahamas week was lovely as that really felt like our honeymoon. |

We do it every year during our middle weekend for 3 nights, flew to Vegas, San Diego in recent years. Dead easy.

Yep - went down to Mexico (seem to recollect had to change in Miami though).
Second the Bahamas suggestion. Easy hop from Orlando there and back so you can get a straight return to Orlando. The Orlando to Mexico leg isOK, but it is harder to get a direct flight back from Mexico on its own without a holiday booking. Have done splitstays in this way with Jetsave (as a whole holiday booking) (Orlando and Jamaica) and diy. Suggest you research places that Jet Blue or Southwestern fly to direct from Orlando, this will minimise the cost as you can just buy an openjaw ticket for the international leg. Not flying - but a honeymoon on Anna Maria Island would be fantastic too ;-) Edited at 05:28 PM. |

We did 2 weeks in Orlando followed by a few nights in New York for our honeymoon last year. It made leaving Orlando a lot easier

We are doing this for our honeymoon in October - 2 weeks in WDW then flying to Cancun for a week. Options we were given were either to fly from Orlando and change at Miami or drive to Miami to return the rental car and then fly direct.
Think the challenge is that companies like Thomson can't book this type of trip for you as they can only fly you into and out of the same airport. Ours is booked with Hayes & Jarvis. |

Yes UK to Orlando, then Miami to Cancun then back direct from Mexico home to the UK. The Riviera Maya is just stunning.
