Hotels in Amsterdam

Recommendations for hotels in Amsterdam please - in good location and easy to get to from train station. I stayed in the Crowne Plaza city centre last time but it has been taken over and the price has nearly doubled!

Many thanks

Double Tree Hilton is right beside the train station, overlooking the canal and a short 5min walk into the centre... perfect location and stunning hotel!

We adored Misc Eatdrinksleep - quirky and charming, very central.

Hi, we have stayed at Hotel Ibis Amsterdam Centre (not the one with Stopera in the name - not sure where that one is). It was a great location next to centraal station and really good price for Amsterdam, it wasn't luxurious but was clean and had everything we wanted just to sleep for a few nights.

I loved the Doubletree Centraal as well - great location modern hotel and a wicket rooftop bar with views - not cheap mind, but then nothing in Amsterdam is.
