Lodges near duxford

Planning a week away with my boys and they all want to visit the imperial war museum at duxford which is a 9 hour drive from where we live so looking at staying for a week near there

I have no idea on what's near there or on lodges, any within an hour or so of duxford to base ourselves, any other attractions near there, we have only visited England twice, so any recommendations would be great

Other things that are quite interesting in the (broad) neighbourhood on a similarish theme which might be of interest dependent on weather and kids ages.

Bletchley Park (milton keynes)
National Space (Leicester)
WW2 Military cemetary just outside Cambridge.

Other stuff, punting on Cam in Cambridge, or just a potch.
Hiring bikes and cycling around Rutland Water

Also - the general area is pretty close to get into London for a sightseeing day. Easy train trip.

I dont know of any lodges per se - but it isnt that far from Centre Parks (Elveden Forest) - 30-40 minutes or so. Plenty going on there to be getting on with!

Otherwise bound to be some caravan/lodge/hoseasons cottages type places available that might appeal.

Might be easier to work out where you want to stay (as in broader area) and then travel to Duxford for the day. Easy reach from a lot of places by car.

This may be an option and is about 10-15 minutes from Duxford and 5 minutes drive from a park and ride into Cambridge itself.

Centre Parks as mentioned is also an option. Maybe even look on AirBnB.
