HELP, Cruise Imigration Info Needed
Hey everybody, we are currently packing to prepare for our cruise and I was just wondering the exact details of the imigration check through for the Disney Cruise... what type of info do they check and what did they ask, details please. I have 3 teenagers and my husband and myself. What type of immigration check do you have to go through to get ON the boat, we are all American Citizens, and have our Birth Certificates, but was wondering what they ask or what you have to go through to get one the boat.
thanks a bunch Tinkerbell2007 Edited at 08:31 PM. |

Hi there
The immigration check for non US citizens takes place at 6.00 am on the day you pull back into Port Canaveral. You will all need to be present. It seemed to be just a formality and the cruise ship handed your passports back to you as you entered the theatre to go through immigrations. You also have the customs form to fill in, the same as the one at the airport. It was painless if a little early! There are three immigration officers at tables on the theatre stage and you climb up to meet them. We were surprised at how many non US citizens there were and so the most important thing I guess was to get us through as soon as possible. The ship also serves refreshments and pastries in the theatre to keep you on until breakfast. Once its finished you can go back to your cabin. Hope this answers your queries. |

Just thought, have you done your online check in for when you arrive at the port? It is not essential but saves time when checking in. There are Cast Members who check your form before you go to the desk to ensure you have filled the right bits in of the forms they send you with your documentation. The other tip is if you have not booked for Palo and want to do (its well worth the extra $10 each) you should do it online as places go quickly.
When you check in you are given your key to the world card and you will also need some photo id (driving licence?) for when you leave the ship. You will need both to get back on. There is also an area for checking your kids into the club, you need to do this even if you have done this online as you get a pager and create a password. Dont know if a pager is neccessary if they are teenagers though but you'll need to check. Finally they will give you a boarding card number which is called out when you are allowed to board the ship. They board like on an aircraft calling numbers so as not to create a huge queue. Think I have covered everything. Have a great time. |

There are desks for US and non US Citizens so it is just a matter of passing your forms in, inc birth certificate and taking a credit card imprint for charges on the ship and getting your room/charge card. Dont think there is any other formality.
You will need to leave any large suitcases outside your cabin by 11.00pm on the evening before you depart. Immigration happens when you return where the suitcases are picked up. Sorry didnt realise. You'll be able to have a nice lie in then! There are instructions to fill in the custom forms on the televisions and these are left in your cabins by your host. |

When you first go through the terminal you also pass through customs where your hand baggage is passed through the usual security cameras and you walk through the security gate, then its just as others have said, they don't ask any particular immigration questions.
