Question Dolphin Encounters, Nassau

I am just about to book and pay for swimming with the dolphins in Sept. But before I do, as they have sent a form that I need to complete and return. Just wanted to check that they are legit and that some of you folks have paid via this method?

Really? I thought we could not do the swim through the cruise? I will check on the site again, as I would rather the security of booking through disney.

You can do it through the cruise on website but i looked into doing it direct with the dolphin encounter at nasseau and it was about 14 dollars cheaper each person ,since there is nine of us even if we walked to were the water taxi picks us up abit of a saving x 9 =126 =60 so if only two or three of you would stick with disney cruiselin to do it through.

Is this the trip to the island to swim with the dolphins, we went there in 1999 and stayed in Bahamas Radisson beach resort, we went on the boat pass some fantastic villas ( of some very wealthy and famous!) and then onto a mini submarine and then to the island which was out of this world, very idyllic dreaming again now! ,)

We actually paid $40 each then and $80 for a whole album of photos and this was one to one with a dolphin (did not do swim, but got in water) if it is the same one you will not regret booking ! can I join you and show you around lol

Hi there

I asked DCL this a while back regarding swim with dolphins this is the answer I got

Also, on the Nassau Dolphin Encounter, you do enter the water with the
dolphins. On this excursion, Guests are provided an approximate
30-minute educational orientation. Then, Guests stand on a platform,
which is approximately 3 feet below the water for approximately 12 - 15
minutes. The encounter includes a kiss, hug, as well as the opportunity
to touch and feed the dolphins for approximately 5 - 8 minutes.

My understanding is that you do not actually "swim" with them like you do at Discovery Cove.

We did this a few years ago with Dolphin Encounters and rang up and booked with them on the phone. My kids did the swimming thing.

Dolphin Encounters website offers watching, encounter and swimming:

I've just had another look on the Disney Cruise website and the only packages they offer are the 'Observer' and 'Encounter' but there is no mention of the 'Swim'. Not sure if I am just not seeing it.
