My first trip was 25 years ago and the last 2 years ago - it has changed considerably. Now the accountants are in charge and everything has to make a profit in its own right, rather than being subsidised by the gambling (a prime example is the shows which now cost loads of dollars and used to be free). I have stayed in Circus Circus - now a bit downmarket; Ceasar's Palace - fantastic but expensive; Hilton - good room deal and the Startrek experience has to be done to be believed; and a couple of times in hotels off the strip.
Going again next week and probably stayng at the Aladdin. but maybe Mandalay Bay. If you are touring and this is a side trip, avoid Friday and Saturday nights as the room rates go through the roof for the weekends. Sunday - Thursday nights are much cheaper. |

I went to Vegas with my DW stayed in the Venetian in an executive suite for 5 nights, it was truly awesome, i would recommend any hotel from Mandalay Bay up the strip to Treasure Island, from this point on the hotels become a bit seedy. You must visit M&M world near MGM hotel.

Vegas is a MUST.
We were there in May this year, plus September last year and also in 2001. We tend to favour the Aladdin because of it's position and fairly large rooms. |

Hi - we visited in Dec 1999 stayed at the Venetian absolutely out of this world, would luv to go again.
A lot of the hotels have rollercoasters, there's a volcano, pirate ship, gondola rides on a canal, lions, tigers, I could go on! Have a wonderful trip. Back in Disney March 2005 can't wait.

Been 4 times since 1998 with serious shopping in mind each time.Never buy anything on the strip as the prices are marked way up.Use two outskirt shopping malls for designer clothes and Beltz's for Nike.Don't rate the latest Mall that opened out of town 2 years ago either.
Top excursion has to be the Grand Canyon helicopter trip flying in the canyon and landing for a picnic.Pickup and dropoff is by streach limo.Fly back is a day light trip along the strip. Edited at 08:53 PM. |

Just dibbing from the Aladdin hotel in Vegas at the moment. Had a lovely champagne brunch in the hotel many hours ago. Still full! Weather very hot here, watching all the news on the TV about Hurricane Jeanne.

Yes, twice and booked to go back next year Oct 2005. Have a look on holidaysuncovered.co.uk to see reviews about it. try New York if you haven't been it's the best.
