A MAGICal Adventure WBTA / Day 13 Sensational St Maarten - 18/09/2014

This morning, we docked at around 6am, so that's what time we woke up! We laid in for a while, but we were up and breakfasted (in Cabanas) before 9am.

We got off the ship once we were finished in Cabanas and went to the (clearly marked) taxi shelter where we got a cab to Maho Bay for $8 each (each way).

The bigger planes were due to arrive around 11am, so we were a bit early, so we found a spot on the very small beach (the beach is seasonal, apparently, and is only really there between November and spring, our taxi driver back told us), I went in the sea for a bit, and Matt lazed about on the sand. It was a bit overcast today, but still warm enough.

At 11am, we walked to the rocks a bit closer to the airport, to get in position for the two smaller jets that were due to come in.

We watched the planes come in but because of the weather, we decided to head back to the ship, so at 11.30am, got a cab back to the port. We had a little wander around the port area and then got back on board.

For anyone visiting St Maarten, it is a lovely, modern port, with a great shopping area Downtown, which we will definitely visit if we ever return (I'm sure we will!). Maho Bay was a great palce to visit and only takes 20 minutes to get there so would definitely recommend. Taxis back are very frequent so don't be concerned about that!

Once back on board, we settled down by the Quiet Cove pool for the afternoon and had lunch at Cabanas.

During the afternoon, I had two Bahama Mamas (today's cocktail of the day). One was in a souvenir cup (as requested, $12.31) and the other in a normal glass ($4.95+tip).

Just before 4pm, we headed back to the room as it started to sprinkle ever so slightly.

Tonight’s showtime was the Crew Talent Show, which was enjoyable, and ended with all of the crew participating in a video set to 'Life's A Happy Song' from The Muppets movie.

We bumped into Kim and Ross before the show so we all decided on Mickey Mania in the D Lounge before dinner, as there was no trivia tonight. It wasn't for us really, but we had a drink, and then headed to Animator's Palate for dinner. We had to go to dinner early tonight as we had to prepare for the Animation Magic show!

Tonight's menu was the Captain's Gala, and we had:
