You could do but not a risk I would take.

Ahh the old 'free car hire' con!

I sometimes wonder if people just jump in these cars blisfully unaware they are not Insured!
OK. Yes you can get Insurance from the UK Insurance Brokers at a fraction of the cost of what the rental companies charge. But there is a huge sting in the tail!
A lot of these brokers expect you to pay for all claims on your credit card and then claim back when you are home!
That could be the full value of a rental car if you trash it plus injuries to a 3rd party.

I can only advise you of the risks which are huge but it is your decision what to do. As an aside I wouldn't touch these Companies with a bargepole and I hire out there 3 times a year and have been hiring in the States for 40 years now!

I would check the cost of hiring direct and not taking the free car.
I would also agree with Mr ToMorrow about the insurance.

OP - Listen to Mr Tom Morrow above - he is one of the dibbs car hire experts with loads of experience.

The free car is a con - my advice would be to look at ditching it and hiring your own through a UK broker or direct with Alamo. Both Alamo.co.uk and Alamo Brits will include all necessary insurance. As will all of the UK brokers

Usually you will be able to find a better car including insurance for less than your TA wants to charge you just for insurance. Not always mind you so its worth doing the comparison.

If you don't want to hire a vehicle yourself then just pay the TA insurance, at least you will be covered and safe.

That's what I thought about hiring it again independently. I don't mind paying the insurance but when it's over 300 and rising and it suppose to be free! Debating wether to just get a transfer and forget the car

You haven't got a countdown so I dont know when you are going. However as a rule of thumb I always say book early but with a Company that allows free amendments and/or cancellations. Such as Alamo Brits.

A car equals flexibility but if you are staying at Disney the buses will suffice. However bear in mind transfers and a few cabs soon mount up and there wont be much in it financially at the end and you then may end up kicking yourself for not having a 'practical size' car.
There are still bargains to be had that are fully Insured.
Best of luck.

Disgraceful how they get away with telling people this.

What are your exact dates please? Orlando or Sanford? What size car do you want?
