Universal and Harry Potter

Two questions -

Given that the Harry Potter stuff is on both Universal sites how practical is it to visit both on one day (using the train link) if one wanted to do that more than any of the other Universal stuff? Thinking time, and cost here.

Since we come from Edinburgh (inspiration of Diagon Alley etc on the doorstep, Glenfinnan train up the road so to speak) and have been to the Harry Potter place at Luton, and really are not wild about rollercoasters (gentle to medium rides OK ) how much more, new things would there be for us at Universal Florida ?

Many thanks,

We do it all the time, we start of in studios work or wat around gauging times and jump on the train back n forth as the day goes along.

We did both sides of Harry Potter both times we visited IOA & US. The train ride between the two is a fun experience and different for both directions.

I’m not a fan of roller coasters at all and don’t go on them however there is lots more to do than just that at both parks. Lots of the rides are simulator rides at US but I enjoyed them all (though not so keen on Fast and Furious!), and I just love the theming of all the different areas in IOA.

Good to know its possible. If we were there and there was time we'd obviously do other stuff too, but its really the Harry Potter that's drawing DH - that and the superheros. So a day might possibly do it ? Thinking about the price of tickets, which is so high !

I don't know all the possible ticket combinations but do know that you have to have a park to park hopper option on your ticket to use the Hogwarts express between parks. Most one day tickets don't have that option. So you might find that the most useful type of ticket for you actually gives you the option of going back for more than one day anyway

Defo possible! We have done just one day and done both parks several times, and we are big potter fans too! I think you can get some other rides in as well if you wanted- just know your priorities before you go
