I agree about Smart kit. In fact our Alexa I am sure is listening to me as I type this!

I may make a decisions some time in the future to have one and if I was buying today it would be Tado or Nest. Not at the moment though. The only time I think I would use it is when in Florida on an Autumn holiday and if the UK temps dropped dramatically.
However my Son comes to the house every day when we aren't here to feed his fish so he can do it.

Nest for us, I barely have to touch it as it ‘knows’
If I do, it’s via my phone. Perfect

Had Hive since it came out.
Coloured lightbulbs, cameras, and the thermostat.
It works sometimes.

Really happy with the Nest we had installed with the new boiler last year. Only annoying thing I find is that if we are out and I want to put the heating/lighting/hotwater on for us getting home I have to use 2 apps, dh promised me I could do it all on the same one but not so far!

We have Hive and it’s probably one of the best things we have bought. Was really easy to install and we haven’t had any issues with it.

We have nest and also have the camera and the carbon monoxide/smoke detector. Love them and have had them all for over 3 years with no issues.

I work in IT so I understand things go wrong it’s how the company reacts to issues that counts in my case google have been really bad.

We have Tado for 3 years and absolutely love it, never had any problems with it. It's lovely to be able to turn the heating on or turn the heating up while out and come back to a cosy home.

We have a Hive, being honest I couldn't see the point but DH thought it would be useful. Have to say I was wrong, it has been brilliant, great if out for the day and switching heating on for arriving home. Thinking about adding the bulbs for the winter this year, camera's look good too.
