Booked DLP in wrong name?
Hi
I have booked to stay at Disneyland Hotel in Paris in June directly with disney. I have booked it under my maiden name thinking my passport wouldn't be done as only recently married but now going to change passport details. Can I just call up Disney and tell them of my name change? It is literally just my surname? I am hoping they will be ok with this?

I can't imagine it being a problem - I'd think this must happen a lot with newly married visitors. I'd just give them a ring and ask.

If it is only accommodation you have booked, then it doesn't really matter. It can be explained away quite easily and you probably won't need to pay an amendment fee for changing the name. You can still call them up if you want to forward them and possibly take your marriage certificate - that would go a long way to helping. (A customer of ours recently did that and all was fine. No fee. No problem)
However, if you have booked travel, then you must contact whomever you have booked with and inform them as soon as possible. If the tickets have already been issued in your maiden name, then they will have to be reissued in your married name to match the passport. This will likely cost an administration fee (usually around £70-£100). Good Luck. Please let us know how you get on. |
