I walked up one day and asked politely if they could possible leave them to one side as it was causing an obstruction otherwise, especially if an emergency vehicle ever needed access. I was met with a very irate response about how they didn't get paid enough to put them back where they found them and if I wanted them moved I would have to 'get off my @rse and do it myself'. Needless to say I didn't argue back but just rang the council to put in my request. It hasn't happened since.
I have wondered myself whether to mention it to them on the rare occasion that I’m at home when they come. After hearing your tale, don’t think I’ll bother.😂

That would have me complaining to the council!

We are a cul de sac
13 houses... 6 of which are 4 beds. 5 of these are now hmo students turned to 5 beds. Rest are 2 beds. The students drive me mad. Bins left all over the place turning the pavements into an assault course, or all gathering by our front door! I start by leaving the bins at the end of the gardens so they walk past them. If after a few weeks I continue to put thier bins back for them... right on thier porchways in front of the front doors... seems to get the message home. Just as they are trained though, they leave and we get a new batch and so it starts again...

I dread to think what it’s like inside! Nothing has been updated since it was built in 1980. We had to put a higher fence between us in the back garden so we couldn’t see in anymore. Can’t do anything about the front though

Well people I am a bin leaver outer! Gulp

Just never occurs to me that it would upset anyone!

We live at the dead end of the street so no one walks past my house unless they are coming to my house, so it does not block the walkways, we have large front gardens so I just usually forget when I get in form work and normally fetch them in whenever I go to put out a new bag, couple of days maybe longer for recycling!

As it seems to upset so many I will try to remember to fetch back in, it’s just not on my radar i am afraid.
