I was same, I was concerned that currently flights from inverness to Heathrow are suspended so was trying to change to Aberdeen. I got through went through it all and they said I needed holiday team booked flights and hotel package, surprisingly they put me through and was dealt with and super helpful. Think it’s luck of the draw with them sometimes, which is frustrating!

I was surprised I got through!

I’m wondering if they’ve put more agents on web chat as I had no luck last week but got through today (albeit with a wait)

I think the trick to getting into the holidays live chat is to play along with the chat bot:

Answer that it's a holiday booking. Give it the ref number when asked. I type skip when asked to enter email and billing address.

After this little exchange with the bot it seems this is right time to go in for the kill and type "speak to an agent"

I was through in 5 mins this week at 5pm. Sometimes though the queue is full and sometimes you do end up back with flight team.

If you are a BA holiday booking do not type "speak to agent" straight away. Play along with the bot and confirm you are a holiday bookin

It’s good trick but its only worked for me once out of 10 goes!

I was very lucky at the weekend. A personal best! But yes there are times it just isn't interested.

I've received an email from BA changing my holiday and it says to contact them, stating the phones open at 07:30. I call at 07:50 to get an automated message telling me they are closed and to call back from 08:00!

T then ring at 07:59 to be told they are too busy to speak to me and automatically cut off!

The only way I got through last week as through the Silver Members executive club line. I'm not a silver member but it didn't seem to matter! I tried at about 2:30 pm and got through in 20 minutes. I may have just been lucky but worth a shot.

Thanks for the great tip! Had to queue for an hour before being answered, but didn't get cutoff and finally managed to get my voucher sorted, that they said I was not entitled to!

Excellent service from Rachel at BA and she actually called me back to save me waiting longer whilst she dealt with the cancellation.

I’m too much of a worrier, currently they state only suspended till February, If they were to cancel longer term they would have to offer a alternative I would think but my nerves couldn’t take it!

I was another £215 to change for the 4 of us just hope this flight is ok! It’s last flight of the day as going night before.

First time DIY and in direct and nothing but stress lol

What date do you fly?

We are bang in middle of inverness and Aberdeen just prefer drive to inverness airport lol

Think will train it now to aberdeen 👍
