Mash isn’t deserving enough to be on a Christmas plate, waste of space.

Definitely mash with roasties, and yes to Yorkshire puddings too - there would be a riot in this household otherwise 😂

Never had mash and roast potatoes together in our house. My husband makes the best roast potatoes in the world - mash would just get in the way!

My mum used to always do both roast and mashed potatoes at Christmas. I don't bother with the mash as it's too much and my family prefer roast potatoes and extra stuffing and pigs in blankets. They would happily miss out on the bread sauce too but I love it so always do it. I think just do what works for you and your family

Roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots, peas, fried sprouts with bacon and chestnuts, yorkies, onion rings, stuffing, pigs in blankets………turkey and pork or beef……don’t care if it’s common or not…….

We don’t usually have mash with Christmas dinner although I did one year, we do have mashed carrot & swede though but absolutely with a normal Sunday roast, mash, roast potatoes & Yorkshire puddings together with gravy 😍

Looks like I’m in the minority but I would never do mash with a roast dinner. That said I wouldn’t serve sausages with roast potatoes either.

Also there is no place for sweetcorn on a roast and Yorkshire puds are for beef only 😂
