Pre Cruise Testing with Carnival
We are cruising with Carnival at the very end of April and, to be honest, I have given it very little thought as unsure whether it would go ahead or not.
However, I now feel more confident and have started thinking about what needs to be done so am a bit behind with everything. My question is about pre cruise testing. What are the options? I know you can pay $100 and get it done at the terminal or get a test 2 days prior. As we will be in Orlando then, can we get it done locally, even if we are international visitors? I think I read that someone ordered a couple of kits from the UK so could you book appointments with them and do it over video call? Any help gratefully received

Have you checked what tests you need for Carnival? I don't have specifics but wanted to mention as I know DCL are providing the pre cruise test you need at the port prior to boarding.

Just sailed with Carnival before Christmas You need a negative antigen test 48hrs before sailing. We did ours with a kit and supervised online. There was no testing at Longbeach terminal. Just showed our printed results when we boarded and was all very quick and simple.

Did you take a kit from the UK with you and book an online slot with them or do it via a USA company?

We arrive on the Wednesday and sail Saturday so I think we'll get them done on thursday. Quite like the idea of doing it via a UK company as a video link purely for the simplicity as don't know where to go in Orlando

We took Qured kits with us and did the supervised tests with them via our phones. The hotel printed out our certificates. I was a bit concerned as (I believed) it was a British company but I needn’t have worried. First off, it mentions on the certificate that it is accepted in the USA, and I later discovered that Qured operates in the US too. Cheaper with UK bought kits though 👍
