12 days to go and DS1 positive

So I just had covid, didn't isolate myself within my home just carried on as normal (I did isolate from the general public) and my partner tested negative the entire time! I was still testing very faintly positive on day 11, didn't test again until day 14 but it was definitely negative then.

my daughter got tested positive on Thursday.. no symptoms. and yesterday being day 5 and today day 6, she's been negative. even though she has no symptoms I still gave her some paracetamol at night. not sure if it helps to clear the virus?

me and my partner both still negative.. touch wood!

I don't think there is much pattern to it really. I remember back in 2020 long before vaccines I had it but DS 16 in the same house did not. Ive never had it again and been around countless people who have been positive.

A family members daughter got it and her dad but then not her mum, again all the same house.

We will be in the same boat come August, and though only two adults going we both have contact with people daily so I think I might just wear a hazmat suit for a week before I go as that's proberly the only worry this year, getting the authorisation to fly.

Hi!

Thankfully the rest of us seem to have managed to avoid getting it (so far). We have our pre-departure tests at 8am tomorrow but the lateral flows we all just did are negative. Just got to hope they stay that way until the official test with Breathe Assured is done.
