We have just booked for 11th Oct 2019 for two weeks...we knew the issues TC were having but the the flight dates, times, hotel location, price etc were all perfect for us so went for it.
ATOL protected and booked on my credit card. First time to Orlando and the whole family are so looking forward to it.

We're booked with the airline for next year, cc, insurance and atol backups if needed but the airline side should be ok.

Having said that, incoming post about TC finances from the usual suspects in 5, 4 ,3,...

Already been posted in another thread before this one was started. And to be honest when the CAA gets involved it is a lot more serious.

Everyone knows that no comment is as good as an admittance. If they could categorically state that administration was not likely they would

I'm not sure I'd be going to see TC to get comfort about their likelihood of being solvent for two reasons

1) the local staff on store won't be aware of the intricacies of credit debt swaps and recapitalisation

2) if they told you there was any risk you wouldn't book, so they will be under instruction to tell you it's all okay

They have a massive investor they are trying just to push it through faster but the scaremongering has been going on for a while they are trying to get it through.

They are actually delaying pushing it through (TC announced it themselves today) they were supposed to vote on whether it could happen or not later this week, it's now been moved to the end of the month.

The only reason you'd delay a vote like this is if you were not sure you had the votes to carry the motion

What I don't understand is why anyone would want to inject 1.1bn into a firm that they could buy in a hostile takeover on the stock exchange for a fifth of that price (it's currently only worth a shade under 80m so 12 times less than they are asking for in funding)

I am watching TC flights for next year- strange thing last couple of days-website won't allow me to view prices etc and keeps coming up with 'sorry there aren't enough seats left' which I know to be untrue! wonder what's going on here?
