VRoom cancelled today
So bl**dy annoyed with Virgin today, another mess up on this holiday.
Booked May 12th 2018 *** from Manchester (now VS75) and tonight they call to say our V Room is cancelled due to being over subscribed.! HOW I ask? because must have been blumming quick as holidays just released when we booked. This holiday has been jinxed from the start. 1...Booked 2 Savannah rooms in AKL only to wait over 5 months for one of them to be confirmed due to Virgin overbooking fiasco. 2... flight changed 3... unable to book seats as they couldn’t confirm which flight actually on 4... Upgraded to club level in HRH and customer service actually changed the days to after we were due to come home. So be prepared , as no amount of arguing was going to change this. The agent said had lots of people to call, some booked before, some after us (surely most after us), My question was how could you overbook when booked 17 months in advance. They will just refund us, end of. Off to Frankie and Bennys then. Edited at 06:05 PM. |

Didn't this happen quite a bit earlier in the year/last year? Again, the Dibbers being bumped were early Booker's. Seems odd.

Should give you some form of compensation imo. These sort of things are a sure way to lose customers if they don't

Terrible service.. yet people continue to praise them, no idea why.
Personal choice, but I wouldn't ever use Virgin.

Normally we never have any bother but this booking has been shocking. Over £15k spent as a special , all frills celebration and she never even said “ sorry to tell you “, just , you’ll be refunded in 3-5 days.
Can you honestly think why it’s overbooked from May last year, what about 2019 bookings, she must have had a long list to call. Maybe it’s just 21st October that has the problem |

She bluntly said , any complaints will be directed back to the dept and outcome the same, nothing more as I was been refunded.
It’s a trivial third world problem but I still think they should have a live link to the V Room , showing availability , then you know on booking. The problem is I believe people insisting it as part of booking for free, and they greedy wanting the booking. I would be more annoyed to find they are the ones keeping it. Tbh it’s a nice spot but not worth the hassle |
