depends on the country, but some have banned self service meals until further notice.

A hotel chain that we've visited a few times in Mexico released their plans recently. They're a 5* inclusive experience so already limited on buffets but the key points I can remember are:
* No buffets at all, all meals al a carte.
* Social distancing (space between beds, at bars etc)
* Bagged pool towels available on request
* Staff in masks
* Less regular cleaning (every 48 hrs), deep cleaning in between guests, sealed remotes etc
* More advanced cleaning procedures and more opportunities for guest cleaning (they already offered hand sanitiser at restaurants so imagine this is stepped up)
* Access to masks for guests
* Online check in system
* Online booking system for restaurants that need reservations
* Online ordering system for room service - contactless room service and mini bar service

All shows and amenities going ahead as normal with minor amendments

Is this a Rui hotel, because it sounds very similar to what I was reading. Our upcoming July holiday is to a Rui Palace, they are planning to open with a 50- 60% occupancy, guests to wear masks and gloves in dining room, buffets will be more individual, no linen tablecloths just paper 😞. Waiters will serve but not clear away until the end, so unsure how table drinks or poolside drinks would work

It's Karisma - they've made no mention of those kind of things but I quite like the methodology they've announced. A lot of people complaining about social distancing in the bars but that doesn't bother me.

That also sounds similar to the all inclusive in Greece no usage of indoor pools. Also a test ( for a fee) upon arrival and you are unable to leave the resort ( unless you retest on return )
