Fitbit?

I'm thinking of buying myself a Fitbit for Christmas/Black Friday. Does anyone have any recommendations for any particular one? Or indeed another brand of activity tracker?

Me and DD both had charge 2 and both broken within three years. Both of them needed new straps within first year and also developed crack on screen for no apparent reason. Friend also had issues with hers. Not sure about others but I’m put off getting another one due to the issues we’ve had

If it was me, I would wait. Fitbit have just been bought out by Google.
The next gen wearables are round the corner and with Google on board I imagine they will provide much more than they do now.
Go Amazon cheap ATM if you must have one now, but waiting a year or less could prove a winner.

I had the charge 2 for a good couple of years and never had no issues with it, OH got me the versa last Xmas and that is a lot better, the only thing I have issue with the fitbit is the silicone straps because you wear them 24/7 to monitor sleep as well as steps I found my skin got sweaty... Sorry if TMI and my wrist felt itchy, on the fitbit site they sell leather steps so I bought one of those and as well as looking smarter it didn't cause any irritation. Our girls both have fitbits and we regularly do challenges.

I have a Garmin activity tracker and would recommend the brand. More like a watch but accurate in tracking activity and great battery life so far.

I have a Fitbit zip which is very basic but great in that it is clip on rather than wearing on your wrist so it doesn’t pick up my arm movements and mistake them for steps.

I switched from a Charge 2 to a Versa a few months ago now. It is so much better and can wear it when I am swimming to track the distance.

Love my charge 2. My hubby bought it as a birthday present several years ago and I’ve worn it everyday. Changed the straps a couple of times as I wasn’t keen on the silicone ones.
It certainly keeps me active as checking all the time. Best pressie ever bought

I would be wary at the moment getting/using a fitbit since google have bought them. I would want to know exactly what they will do with all my data.
