How much would you pay for a GE extra ticketed event?

Was reading a thread on one of the US forums regarding this- and lots of people were speculating about what kind of special ticketed events might be offered eventually and how much they would likely be. There were lots of people happy to pay in excess of $500 per person to get more exclusive entry. We aren’t going until next August- but I’d already planned on trying to get tickets for any early morning magic hours/ extra evening hours- but not if they are going to be stupid prices ( ie significantly more that the other early morning magic events offered). It got me thinking what events might be offered and how much Disney will charge ( and people happily) pay?

Difficult one to judge . I reckon extra magic hours or after dark events would be around the $199 + mark ( similar to the new signature packages ) but you never know. As for how much would you pay , well that’s all dependant on how much you want something so you won’t get a ball park figure . ( some people happily pay £15k plus on a Florida holiday others would baulk at that figure ) . The hotel opening will also change things as they may only offer exclusive packages with bookings and it was speculated at around a $1000_$1500 per night. I do think ticket prices will shoot up though.

The lightsabers are $199 but I bet they sell out ! Disney invested a billion dollars because they knew this was a cash cow .

I also think that even if special events are very expensive they will still sell out very quickly. We can’t be sure at the minute but with all the hype and the money invested- I’m concerned that your average guest with a standard park ticket isn’t going to get anywhere near GE unless they pay extra for it. Hoping this won’t be the case longer term and that at least if you are staying onsite you’ll get a sniff of a FP at 60 days ( if/ when they introduce them 😬!)

Just read the build a droids will start at $99. But then again $65 plus tax for a spirit jersey is pretty ridiculous but no one bats an eyelid .

All I know for definite is i need deep pockets to take my youngest into GE. Once in a lifetime perhaps ? He is so excited about going , but then again so are we and I reckon Disney made it immersive on purpose so you forget reality and swipe that band left right and centre then faint at check out lol .
I do know for sure as you say there will always be someone with deeper pockets than me though.
Supply vs demand will be a big factor in it all though and in a few weeks we will see some of the effect but will this make florida a bigger beast than it already is as most peoplethis sde of the pond see Florida as Disney not California .

Well we have just paid for one night In a Disney hotel so we can go for the extra extra magic hours on the 1st September. We won’t even be using the room! £120 so far...

We booked one night onsite to get the eemh. Not to ride, just to walk thru. Our last visit so making the most of it.

Another who has coughed up for a night on site, that isn't really necessary but I can't see any other way to even vaguely get to do what we want to. It isn't even exclusively GE for us, we haven't seen Pandora or Toy Story Land yet but with every day of our holiday thrown for a loop on the busy day guide, it felt like a necessity.

When the hotel is built and up and running then I reckon that will be the only way to get additional extra hours in the land.

Simple answer - Zero
Disney will charge exactly what they think they can get, be it $200 or a $1000. There's already people stating they are willing to pay $1000/person/night (speculation) to stay at the Hotel, sorry as much as I've been a fan since Episode 4, it's no different to George Lucas bringing out special editions every year, it's all about milking the cash cow!
