Anyone go shopping without a car?
Every time we go to Florida, I always wish I'd had a look around a mall. we dont hire a car, always stay on site and use the WDW transport.
Is getting a cab realistic? Are there any cabs at the mall for the return trip or would I have to get an Uber? (Not something I've ever done...I know ... dont live in the city and drive everywhere myself here). Any advice on shopping in the hot July heat (so no bus please). We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and Yacht Club. Is there anywhere decent locally you would suggest? . Many thanks . |

I often take myself off to the Premium Outlets at Vinleland or to the Florida Mall. Always use Uber and so far have found it brilliant.
I have always felt safe but there is a function on uber where you can share the car reg that you got into and what time etc with someone so I send that to my husband.

We do.
Mears at the hotel called by the CMs at the front, Mears for return as they are at all malls. FYI, From 19th April Mears and Uber in Orlando will become a single company. I ran a thread on this in car hire and transportation a few days ago, that few visited. Disney332

We stayed at PO Riverside and used Uber to get to Vinelands. It was quick and cheap.

We’re planning to Uber to the premium outlets this year, last time we drove but we aren’t having a car this year. We had a look and it seems like it’ll only be around 12 dollars to Uber it

We went to Mall@Millenia earlier this year without a car. Bought quite a lot, we dint use Uber but it was easy to get a taxi from right outside.

Thanks for your help everyone. I'm glad to hear that its doable.
I had no idea about the reg number option MissAliJS, that gives me a bit more confidence for future possibilities, thanks for that. Alidoll, good to hear that its straightforward , thanks. CartoonP...I think if I was going in February, I'd certainly do this, useful to know, but now I feel the July heat too much, sadly, and I'd be wiped out before starting shopping haha Disney332 "Mears at the hotel called by the CMs at the front, Mears for return as they are at all malls."... my kind of easiness My son and I will be doing this I think . Have got many cabs from the hotel in the past, but never from outside 'the disney bubble' . Thank you. Thanks everyone. Off to investigate shopping malls. Looking for a place with a Disney Outlet, teen boy/mens clothes, and any little bargain bits if they still exist. Edited at 10:21 AM. |

I saw a lot of people with suitcases with them, easy to put all your shopping into and wheel about!
I think i would do this if I didn't have a car to put all my stuff into whilst shopping... those bags get heavy, when you keep buying hahaha! |
