You can have non fizzy drinks with the freestyle. Iced tea too.
And boring water.
Deff alternate as u ll end up dehydrated. And do u really need 1 each? Its alot to carry round (unless ur kids are older and going to carry their own...)

We never carry any drinks in the parks, we just make sure we never pass a water fountain without taking a drink from it - simple. Fizzy drinks de-hydrate not hydrate - kids need to learn that.

We got clips to attach the mugs to our bags and made sure they were empty for the rides that allow bags. The ones that don’t all had lockers big enough for the mugs to stand up in. Of course that was 2017 and if they’ve changed the locker size that’ll make a difference.

They allow three prong clip bumbags on most of the big rides that don’t normally allow bags (not the hulk and rip ride rocket) - you could probably loop an empty mug through the belt part (I did this with my hat and they were cool with it).

Also if your kids don’t like water could you take squash concentrate? I do that for DH.

Thx for all the replies guys.
The kids will drink water but i promised them we'd get a few of the refill mugs this year to share as we never have in the past so I've shot myself in the foot.
One of the replies i think u got the wrong end of stick when i mentioned slots or mesh as i meant on the rides. I'm sure years ago on the forbidden journey there was something on the ride to store small items (I've looked up the refill mugs just now and didn't realise how huge they were mind lol).
The missus isn't overly keen on fast rides so she'll use this as an excuse and be the keeper of the mugs!
Out of curiosity, have u got to pay for the lockers each time? As we got 8 visits planned with the Express passes from hotel stay so will need lots of lockers.

The small lockers are free for the time it would take you to be on the ride, I think it's about 50 mins. If you want to keep for longer or a bigger locker you have to pay. I've seen a few utube videos of the new lockers and they are very small so only really for a bum bag/small bag and a mug side ways in. You could of course get a locker each.
