Early. Unless only going to the park in the afternoon. I’m here now and we often go in, do our FPS then bail when it gets crazy hot then go somewhere else in the evening. It’s easy to underestimate how long it takes just to walk about and get from A to B so if you add queuing in on that then it takes ages. Even with a fastpass rides can take around 30-50 mins from getting in queue to getting out of queue building. No matter how many times I come I forget how long things actually take in reality. So morning FPs help A LOT.

I book early even though I rope drop. I start my FPs around 9:45 or 10 so I can do a few rides before the window opens. I'll go to my first FP at the beginning of the window so I can move my others up. I will continue to book till I leave the park. At the resort or before leaving the park, I will book our next FP for our evening return.

My latest one this year is noon on June 2nd. We are driving in that day and it takes 5hr45min to get to Disney from where I live. I figure we should arrive by 11am and then I'll try to check in. If our room isn't ready, we'll just drive to AK and that'll give me time to verify my FL residency before entering the park for that noon FP.

I try to do it too, but there is no automatic ability to bring fast passes forward, it will depend upon availability.
