1st time QSDP
We have been to orlando a number of times but never stayed on site.
I am considering booking for next may and would be hopin to take advantage of the quick service dining plan. Is it really worth it? There will be 2 adults and 3 kids (11,11 and 9) so really 4 adults and a kid package. What happens if you do use your meals, for example you don't visit disney and go to another park...? TIA |

Worth it really depends on how much you eat and if you are planning to have most of your meals at Disney.
For 4 adults and 1 child I would say it would be worth it. When you check I you get all your credits at once, so it doesn't maker if you go off site for a few meals - you can have more meals on other days - like breakfast at BOG etc. You can also use the credits at Disney springs and other Disney resorts. |

Are you asking whether it's worth buying it, or does it come with your package? If it comes with your package, and therefore free, it's a no-brainer!
Dead easy to use. You effectively get 2 meals a day, and you can use then when and where you like. If you go off site (as we do once or twice per holiday) you can use your left over 'daily allowance' for breakfast or nearer the end of your holiday exchange a counter service credit for 3 snack credits and go wild in one of the sweet shops!

If we spend a lot of time off site at other parks, to use the credits up we use them for breakfast before we leave so many days we are using 3 credits a day instead of 2 (breakfast lunch and dinner) and other days if we're out only using 1 credit (breakfast)

By booking now you'll get the dining plan, a $200 disney gift card and the Memory Maker photo package free - so yes, it's very much worth it

It's well worth it if you're planning on staying on-site and you get the free offer. There's loads of food and it's very flexible. I wrote a food report during our April trip that's full of photos which you might find helpful. The link is at the bottom of my signature

Just to add, there's no difference between adult and child qs credits, so you can get adult meals for everyone. Some of which are big enough to share which means your credits last longer than expected, especially with all the snack credits too.

Can only echo what others have said. We love the plan but would say that, in order to make the most of it, you really need to do your research because there are so many choices available to you. Reading QSDP food reports is one of the best ways to see what choices you can make to ensure you don't eat burgers and hot dogs all the time!
