We've never had a car with SatNav included and I believe most rental companies de-specify it so they can charge exorbitant rates for hire units.

For our last trip and the one starting in a few days we booked through Andy at Discount Florida Car Hire who as well as offering the most competitive price on both occasions also includes a loan SatNav for £15 to cover return P&P. He'll also pre-program any villa or hotel addresses you ask him to and all the major attractions are already input. We received ours a few days ago. There's a link to DFCH on the yellow post-it note at the top of the page.

We've never had a working one built in, but we purchased a USA SD card that slots in the side of our UK sat nav. Works an absolute treat and only about £15 from eBay. Highly recommended.

We had a sat nav on our last trip, if you do get one, check the settings our was set to avoid highways and toll roads so it took ages to get to SSR, it wasn't until we arrived I noticed the settings. Doh!

Thinking back ref this all the Cadillacs I have had over the last 5 years or so have had working sat nav, even if the car has been circa 1 year old.
I wonder if they renew the licence on them?

Maybe Caddy have a different deal with the Sat Nav provider? So when you look tobuy your new one the sales bumph says " Comes with x years sat Nav and satellite radio " as a selling point?
Who really knows? When I tried to use the one in a Chevy Impala last year it kept telling me I had to enroll!

I always use my own sat Nav, with all my own favourites on it.
I have just ordered a new garmin from amazon with free lifetime USA maps and hd traffic. Just have to hope it gets delivered to villa no problem.

Last 3 years I have had one car with sat Nav, they take a bit of time to figure out. Prefer my own one.
