Alamo Brit Won't Let Me Skip The Counter

Hi

I arranged my reservation online through Alamo Brits. Confirmed my reservation, then when I try to do Skip The Counter it says there's an error with the website. I phoned Alamo in the US only for the service rep say "You can't use Skip The Counter as you booked it through an agency" and hung up on me!

Anyone else having issues?:angry:

Unless, as Lisbon mentioned, you're picking up at Sanford try the following, worked for me and others.

Sign into Alamo.com with your confirmation number/name, complete OLCI - which usually takes you to the Skip page. Once OLCI is complete follow these steps; leave the Alamo page open and minimise - you must be logged into Alamo otherwise the link below will simply revert to their home page. Click on this link and complete Skip - alamo/en_US/car-rent...in/bypass.html

Perhaps you would be so kind as to confirm if it is still working, thanks.

Is it a problem with the website?
I was unable to physically enter the details in one section, the dibb recommended doing this via Google Chrome and voila!

As previously said, plenty of info on previous thread. In short, we booked through 3rd party but had no problem skipping the counter last week. I had the online confirmation with most fields incomplete as appears to be the norm but with barcode intact. The Alamo guy at the car pickup only wanted to see my voucher and ignored the online confirmation. I was all done and away in 15 minutes

Wouldn't worry about doing the skip the counter part. Providing you've done the online check in, you're good to go straight to the garage.

Hi Bah (sorry!)... are you using a debit or credit card, not sure if that may make a difference, as long as it has the Visa or Mastercard logo, you'd have thought not, but...
If you have another browser perhaps try using that. Clear cookies, try again. Sorry, just throwing ideas out there.

As other's have said, they've gone straight to the garage with the OLCI paperwork/barcode with no issue, if push comes to shove you can try that.
