Bread Service

I don't know how true this is but seen a rumour on Facebook that WDNT have said Disney are thinking of getting rid of complimentary bread service at Table Service restaurants? I do like the bread services on the dining plan in place of a starter, but I think the only one I am truly gutted about if this is true is the onion rolls at Yachtsman (and to be fair I would happily pay for these if it was an option )

The Disney food can at best be described as 'safe'. Apart from a few exceptions none of the restaurants are worth writing home about.

If they do discontinue the free bread then that will be just about the end for us.

We have gone from dining 70+ nights a year to more like 25. I can see that dropping to circa 10. Their loss not mine.
Greed personified.

Me too! although i saw on a related post that this wasnt going to happen at Signature dining... which Yachtsman is... ?
It said on the post that Hollywood Brown Derby werent aware of the changes when asked.
Im just holding out hope that this is the case, as its half the reason i want to go to the Yachtsman again! Last time i couldnt taste anything as i was suffering with a cold

Also the butter at Garden Grill will be sorely missed! Was amazing!

That’s really sad, we loved the bread service in lots of the places we ate in last trip. DH didn’t come with us, and we have been telling him how good the meals were as he is coming with us for our (probable) trip in 2021. Only yesterday we were telling him about Coral Reef’s bread service 😔

Sadly, the price increases, less magic hours for onsite guests and the removal of bread service, if even free dining is offered, does make onsite less attractive and beneficial than it once was

As long as I can get those onion rolls ... yes, I would pay extra for those!

we already have a plan B- share the beef sliders (that are made with the onion rolls) in Crews Cup Lounge before our meal at Yachtsman

I agree I am just hoping that there is still a good deal to be had next year- we are hoping that there is the option to upgrade to the new Dining Plan plus

Do you still rate Ale and Compass? I have it pencilled in for Breakfast and Lunch next year
