Rather than “why? Why not?” You can use just about anything you own as a weapon?

This thread isn’t anti or pro gun.

Condolences to (the OP) your son.
The thread may not be anti gun but I sure am. Your right anything can be used as a weapon but how many deaths by baseball bat do you hear of?

Guns are designed to kill, end of. Yes you need the idiot to pull the trigger but in this instance if the moron who killed the child was waving a baseball bat around you would have had one less senseless death.

Safe use of guns is a oxymoron if ever I’ve heard of one. Have you seen the number of accidental deaths with guns?

Nearly 7000 reasons just in the USA alone in 10 years to answer your ‘ why not’ question .
And that’s ignoring all the deliberate deaths

Op , please make sure your son is ok in the coming weeks and months

Well start a separate thread and I’ll be delighted to discuss it with you. However, this is the wrong place to air opinions.

As per my other comment, happy to discuss this with you somewhere else.

If people want to go to Florida and shoot on a range - Why not? It’s legal, fun and a can be a family activity. Because it doesn’t “tick your box” it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t tick others.

I agree, apologies to OP, just seems such a waste.😢

Tragic news. A young life wasted through no fault of his own. Your son must be mortified. Sending my condolences.

Oh how terrible! This has really upset me. The poor family and his friends having to deal with this tragedy. It must be so hard for your son to be so far away from his friends right now. I do hope he will be ok in the coming weeks and months.
I think it’s a lovely idea for Reece to go out and finish Paycin’s car. It’ll give him some closure too
RIP Paycin
