Last night Laura wiped her tears away and then wiped her nose with the back of her hand and proceeded to pick up the dough. 🤮

Some of her cakes look like a dogs dinner to be honest.

Poor Hermine had a shocker. You know as soon as someone says “this should be my week” that’s its all going to go horribly wrong.

Laura is definitely flying by the seat of her pants and Dave is just a bit boring. Peter can at least make things look & taste good so would like him to win.

Noel did make me laugh when he was wittering on about living in Prue’s wardrobe and going to Narnia. Dave just did not get it

I hope Laura doesn't win - she's really nice but surely a baker good enough to be in the final of GBBO should be able to wash her hands and be reasonably clean & tidy - it would put me off her food. Every other years the winner has been good enough to do TV cookery shows, tours etc - I couldn't imagine her doing that.

I could imagine Lottie doing TV cookery shows etc.

We caught up last night. I don’t dislike Laura as a character but she does not deserve to be there. Even Noel made a point about her having to fight for survival in the show stopper at least five times. The standard has been very low this year compared to previously.

Definitely agree. I don’t know how Pru could say they were the best they’ve ever had. I still enjoy it but the standard has been the lowest I think of all the series.

The standard is bound to be lower. Only people prepared to spend weeks away from their families and jobs could take part. Not going to necessarily all be "the best" amateur bakers in that subset.

I never watch Bake Off.. until this series and am enjoying it. Laura is just way too untidy - the state of her apron after every bake is shocking - the way she poured all that chocolate all over the place last week!

Putting my money on the Baby-faced assassin to win

Laura's making a muck up of it already! They're an absolute mess for the final.
