Just me & OH
2 single person households who will be continuing supporting each other as before. Won't be putting anyone else at risk or increasing our own risk just because of "Christmas"

As I posted last night, it's not compulsory. Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

The fact is that all families will need to make a decision: do we get together this year, and risk illness or worse, or do we have a quiet one this year, and look forward to many more Christmases to come.

People will come to differing outcomes, based on their own personal and family circumstances, and different doesn't mean someone is right and someone else is wrong.

I’m in 2 minds. I live alone and I’m ‘bubbled’ with my sister and her DH. Staying home alone over Christmas really doesn’t appeal but I’ve been very good since March and it might be un-done in a few hours.

I've spent a couple of Christmases on my own and will be this year. I don't mind it, partly because the adults in my family get drunk and I drink very little alcohol. So I just play with the kids.

None here either. I totally respect that some people may want to but everyone’s situation is different and as no one will be left alone and all are happy with it then I would rather not risk it.

I knew we were related !
One side of my family can create drama and arguments out of thin air

We always do Christmas Day single family and then gather on Boxing Day , and frankly this year I don’t want to . Needs careful handling as Boxing Day was always at husband’s Mums and we lost her this year but his kids still want to get together. Last time we were all together was after her funeral and it felt like too many people then, I don’t fancy a rerun.

Nope we also won’t be bubbling, just me, hubby & two adult children who live with us, I only get Christmas Day off as work in retail so not gonna put any other family at risk.
I do have friends who have constantly abused the rules and even when one tested positive they still had family round, they said kept social distance but turns out they all ended up positive., their attitude is I’m going to see my kids and grandkids no matter what, totally selfish.
