Mobile Stephen king books

I love reading, I read about three books a month. However I have never, ever read a Stephen King book.
I enjoy books that are easy to read but gripping and a real page turner.
My favourite author is Karyn Slaughter who writes amazing crime thrillers.
I do enjoy Harlan Coben books and I actually really enjoyed gone girl, maze runner, hunger games and You.

For some reason I have always thought Stephen King books are very grown up and difficult to read.
What is your personal opinion ? Which book would you recommend to start with? I am thinking of IT or The Institute.

I must confess I rarely read these days and have barely read any fiction for about ten years!

I used to read though and have read quite a few Stephen King novels, no they are not difficult to read, no more so that Karen Slaughter who I have also read. Maybe start with Carrie, his first.

Stephen King and Dean Koontz are 2 of my favourite writers in the genre. If you like crime novels I would start with the less horror based novels and go for more crime based ones like Mr Mercedes. Have you read any of Kathy Reichs novels?

Oh I love Stephen King. Yes definitely Carrie-or perhaps some of his short story collections?

I'm reading The Institute right now, if you want it to give it a try before spending any money on other books I can send it to you. I've read his books since I was a a teenager though some of his later series of books weren't for me. Take care, June

I really like Stephen King, but much prefer his earlier ones. Carrie and Pet Semetry are my personal favourites.

Me too, plus Needful Things, Cujo, Gerald’s Game, From a Buick 8, Dolores Claiborne, The Tommyknockers, The girl who loved Tom Gordon. So many good ones! The only ‘recent’ one I’ve read is Under the Dome which I loved.

The stand is my favourite. A great story with depth that draws you in and makes you disappointed to have to put it down.
