I have March, May and August already booked.
Cannot be doing with worrying and if they don't fly I will be refunded. Job done.

This is almost certainly going to be the case, balances are usually due well before airlines start to think about cancellations. You need to familiarise with the terms and conditions of your hotel / ticket booking, for example I am booked with Disney and they are doing full refund for cancellation up to seven days in advance.

Just to be clear though, if the airline, Virgin in my case, cancel then it’s an automatic refund?

In the same situation as CJC. Worried about booking orlando for Oct 21 as its outside the current BA book with confidence window.
But what I'm hearing on this thread is ultimately if the FCO advice is not to travel then the airline will cancel and thats a refund...right? I share your sentiment CJC about being mad but its hard to look past the current BA offers. |

I’ve gone ahead and made a booking. I figure best case I’ll get to fly Upper Class to Florida for less than £900 each. Worst case I’ve loaned Virgin £1800 for three months and I’m still sat at home on the sofa like I am now.

That seems to be BA's stance. I rang up just before the balance was due on a trip to Romania and the lady from BA went away to find out if it was on the FCO list and issued a refund based on that. Recived 3 days later. I also had flights to San Francisco booked for this month and they were cancelled with a refund quickly issued without me even having to ask.
Can't fault BA at the moment. |
