Email from US custom and borders

Hi all, need some advice if anyone can help? Went to Orlando in October 2018, we went with another family. They have just received an email which she has sent me basically she said “ We’ve both had separate emails from US Custom & Borders to say we have 10 days left before we have to leave the States. Been on the I-94 government website and it doesn’t have us leaving on the 2nd Nov. As you can imagine, we can’t speak to anyone & sent them an email reply” .

I received a similar email a couple of weeks ago but presumed it was a scam ... was I wrong to presume this and has anyone had this problem before ... we all left on the same flight on the 2nd November.

Looks like something hasn't registered with your departure.

It's important you have this corrected or you may have problems entering the US in future.

You need to contact them about this as it could prevent you entering the us in the future. So sorry I don’t have a number or even an idea of who to contact. I just know that dibbers with this problem previously have had issues

I think ChrisS had an issue with this. She's really helpful, so if you PM her I'm sure she'll be able to give you some advice. If it wasn't her, hopefully she can remember who it was and point you in the right direction.

Just make sure you pull all your documents together from your last flight, including flight numbers, boarding cards if you still have them (digital copies), if you have not been away since, you may still have the luggage stickers on the rear of your passports.

Ooh, that's a great to. I normally bin then when I put our passports away, think I'll stay keeping them for a bit.

Hey I had this email soon after returning from orlando last year I panicked as I was due to go to new york a few weeks later, i rang them in Washington and the girl on the phone said not to worry bit when I am travelling to new york take some paperwork of evidence that I have been in the UK, old boarding pass, bank statement showing transactions etc I wrote her name down and the date I spoke to her. When we arrived in new york we had no problems at all I wasn't even asked about it. Don't worry.

It's affected other people on here who've had problems getting ESTAs, as they're thought to have stayed in the US.

Reading on another forum (trip adviser) some else reported the same and was advised to take the said information too to prove they were back in the uk. They returned end of Oct / start of Nov 18 from SFO to MAN with Thomas Cook. unfortunately they have not updated the thread with the outcome.
