Aldi really has shot up in recent years in central Florida. It's one I try to avoid in the USA, as I go at least monthly at home, and want to do something a bit different when I'm there.
On that note, one of the most random, and cheapest places I've been is Sacks: sacksoutlets. It's somewhat outside the Disney area! |

Aldi is always our first port of call on day one of the holiday to get our fortnightly shop. It's such a relief not to have to worry about the rapidly escalating prices of Publix and Walmart.

We usually spend at least part of our holiday in Haines City. After reading reports on the forum, I gave Aldi a try. Always do a big shop when we arrive, then top up as we need. I was amazed at the difference in cost when swapped over to Aldi. We didn't manage to get everything we needed, did get all the basics. For anyone on a tight budget if there is an Aldi around, it's well worth a visit. We are up there again in October, and hopefully might give Wynn Dixie a try this time.

And that is true in the UK as well, went to Aldi yesterday, frightening really, spent under £25, got 49 items and the only one above £1 was 6 pints of milk! Though the 'Taste of America' range they had when I went last time wasn't there this time ... is that all year or does that only feature around 4 July?

I think taste of America range is usually around 4th July. Can't say I have noticed it at other times of the year in the UK.
