I use Revolut as it gives you very competitive exchange rates.

In one of the other threads, someone was recommending Monzo.

Both myself and DW take a Revolut card
We load the majority of the money onto one card which we leave locked in safe
We then transfer smaller amounts to other card

We have been using a Caxton FX card since 2011 and have never had a problem using it. Between that, our Halifax Clarity Credit Cards and some cash we are sorted.
