Christmas Day?
Hi everyone!
We are going this Christmas 22/12-5/01. I just don’t know where to start with planning Xmas day! We are 2 ads and 2ch aged 13 and 9. We are open to pretty much anything, we’re staying offsite but will have a car. Would appreciate any tips! Thanks |

I’ve only done Christmas once and on Christmas day we booked Discovery Cove for guaranteed crowd control. That said it’s a risk the way the weather can be. We got a nice 70 degrees for much of the day but the same trip we were in hats, coats and gloves for 5 days. If you plan on a park I strongly advise you get to the park 45 minutes before opening as by 10.30am they will be speactacularly busy. MK opened at 7am Christmas week the year we were there though and on Boxing Day me and my DD got 21 rides in between 7am and 1pm with a good plan. This was under the old FP system. Excellent fun.

Oh. We had dinner at 1900 Park Fare on Christmas Day. The lobby of the Grand Floridian had a band and a pianist downstairs it was lovely. The characters at the meal went all out to entertain as well. This was a great choice.

We have been for many Christmas’s now and have tried a few options.
Gaylord palms is definitely the best eating out option, everything else is rammed! We now don’t go out, we have a full Christmas dinner in the villa, kids play with the toys and in the pool, it’s nice not to have to drive anywhere for a day and just relax. Boxing Day is discovery cove day. |

We have been quite a few times at Christmas and tried different things. We have booked an early character breakfast at AK (which we enjoyed) and stayed in the park until early afternoon. Then returned for dinner at a resort hotel.
We have been to CG a few times, L'Artista and even Rainforest Cafe. We have also been to MK and booked LTT for a turkey dinner. The last few times we have stayed in MK on Christmas Eve until it closed, had a leisurely morning Christmas Day then gone out to play crazy golf or go on one of the pontoon boats then have an ice-cream from beaches and cream. We then go out for dinner later, last time we tried WCC at WL and we all enjoyed that. Have you decided on anything yet? |

We are going to be in MK again this year. Thinking of Whispering Canyon Café for dinner as we haven't been there before

We went to WCC on Christmas Day and it was a "holiday meal" served family style. We enjoyed it and WL is lovely at Christmas.

We went a few years back... we ended up going to Cocoa Beach - we were literally the only ones there... and ended up having a pizza we bought the day before (bigger than anything we can buy here) as our 'Christmas Dinner' which we ate at the villa near the pool - just wanted to do something totally different we couldnt do in this country :-)

We did Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day last year - it was busy and you need to get there early but we loved it! Ate at Liberty Tree Tavern, so we still had turkey, but a bit different to a Christmas dinner at home!

We went to Seaworld in the morning, as we didn't want to be in a park all day and it's easy to get most of the rides done in a morning. It did get busy though. We went back to the villa for lunch, a swim, kids played with toys, and then went to Rainforest at DS for dinner. And a look round the Xmas tree festival.
