Cabins at Fort Wilderness without a car
We are thinking of the cabins at Fort Wilderness but will be relying on transport to parks (MK, Epcot, Animal Kingdom etc) - will this be an issue? I've read that FW transport is a bit hit and miss? Thanks..

The buses are on a schedule just like every other resort. No better or worse than anything else.

It's a very big resort, with 3 internal bus routes alone. Buses to the parks only go from the main entrance to the resort, so depending in where you are, it could mean 2 buses to get to the parks. Personally, if staying there, I'd want a car, but know that many people don't.

We stayed here for 5 nights last September with no car. We found the internal buses ran on a regular basis and the ferryboat to MK. WE had no problems in getting around

We've stayed there and loved it. But we did hire a golf cart to use around the resort, which was so much fun. It made it a lot easier to get to the boat dock or main pool and the kids thought it was great. They have lots of 'golf cart' parking areas !

Its a resort that benefits more than any other to have a car. But, you dont need one to enjoy it.
