Although I no longer work as such but help out in a florist concern 4 of us we were out to dinner this evening we've decided that each of us instead of buying something we are donating £10 to a local charity ( one close to my heart ) that supports teenagers leaving care
The now almost 20 year old we supported is training to be a nurse
Works PT in Mickey D's has her own flat now after living in the charity
Supported own room has learnt to,drive
Our £40 combined donation will fund a safe room for a teen for a month sometimes enough to get them back on their feet

Ours is £15 based on an expectation of some thought going into it and a fairly decent present. I hate the £5 joke presents as you just end up with tat you have to throw out. That said, my £15 “decent” present last year was two Star Wars mugs. I got my Secret Santa Benefit make up! I then feel bad because the person clearly kind of knows me but doesn’t really. I don’t want to participate this year but can’t explain why in case the person who bought me the present finds out.

Was always £10 in our office. Was in tk maxx the other day and they have LOADS of cool quirky presents for less than £10.

I've showed her the replies!

We have agreed on £20 but I still think it's OTT.

I often look at iwoot.com for good little fun gifts.
